A fourth ship carrying 1,468 tonnes of humanitarian aid supplies has left the UAE for Yemen as part of the country's efforts to help people affected by the ongoing crisis in Yemen.

The UAE's latest humanitarian shipment to Yemen included a variety of foods, medical supplies, bottled drinking water and special foods for children. The shipment was donated by the Emirates Red Crescent, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Establishment, Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Humanitarian & Scientific Foundation, Sharjah Charity International, UAE Suqia' Initiative, Dar Al Ber, Al Rahmah Charity, and Sharjah Charity House.

The UAE boosted its humanitarian response to the situation in Yemen, thanks to the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow-up by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and President of the ERC.

The UAE has so far provided Dh57 million in humanitarian aid for Yemen.

Recently, the UAE distributed more than 6,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid including food, medicine, medical supplies and fuel to Yemenis in the country's governorates who bore the brunt of the ongoing crisis. – Emirates News Agency, WAM – http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395282330589.html
