The Ministry of Health has donated shipments of medicines and medical supplies worth US$100,000 (Dh367,000) to the Palestinian people in occupied territories. Under Secretary of Health Hassan Al Alkeem said the ministry was making several contacts so as to identify the urgent medical supplies so that the ministry can provide them. He also stressed that the ministry was ready to receive a new batch of Palestinian wounded and treat them in co-ordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Some 2,500 Palestinian families in Gaza and Hebron received cash relief aid sent by the UAE Joint Committee of Charities for Relieving the Palestinian People. The committee confirmed the receipt of cash aid by families through charities organisations operating in the Occupied Territories.

Donations made to the Palestine Relief Campaign have totalled Dh26 million. The Joint Committee's plan in relief aid fields includes several phases of sending urgent financial aid and providing medicines and food to Palestinian families with the aim of re-balancing the destroyed areas through providing the needs of hospitals and rehabilitating schools and houses. These phases will be followed by carrying out development and infrastructure projects. (The Gulf Today)
