UAE show jumpers look for glory in Bahrain

Strong contingent of UAE show jumpers are heading to Bahrain to take part in the His Majesty The King's Cup Show Jumping Championship, which will be held in Bahrain from today to Friday. he CSI-W event, to be held at Police Mounted Centre, Budaiya, is the FEI World Cup Jumping Qualifier for Arab League, a press release from the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation said.



The Championship is being organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation. Though the Championship officially invites only six foreign riders and 12 horses per Federation, extra riders are being invited at their own expenses.



The three-day competitions in Bahrain also include other categories of show jumping including Qualifying Competition for the FEI World Cup Jumping Competitions, One Round with Jump-off, One round with Jump-Off Against the Clock, International Speed Class and Accumulator with Joker.



The jumper who qualifies in the FEI World Cup Jumping Competition will vie in the final championship to be held later this year in Las Vegas. (Gulf News)
