Kazakhstan - The UAE has called for religious dialogue and ultimate peaceful co-existence among peoples of faith, saying that such a dialogue will quench religious wars and cultural conflicts.

Speaking at a religious conference which opened here yesterday, Sheikh Mansour Al Manhali, Director General of Religious Affairs at the General Authority for Awqaf, called for cooperation and respect among difference shades of human race.

"The UAE has practically applied these lofty values of religious and cultural tolerance. Our country is now home to various faiths and cultures, living in peace and harmony", he said. The UAE, he added , has also supported just causes irrespective of race and religion.

Al Manhali also called on the religious leaders to focus more on issues of common consensus such as moralities, freedom, equality, compassion and renunciation of violence and terrorism. He also conveyed the greetings of President H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the participants of the conference which was inaugurated by President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan.
