UAE strongly condemns Iran's hostile statements against Bahrain

United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the continuous hostile and irresponsible statements made by a number of Iranian officials against the sisterly state of Bahrain by way of falsifying the established historical realities. It also urged the Iranian government to disown these statements, denounce them and put an end to such claims.

Issuing a statement yesterday, an official source at the Foreign Ministry said that UAE followed with ultimate resentment these statements that constitute a blatant transgression on an independent sovereign state, on its identity and Arab character.

The source added that these statements that kept coming from responsible sources in Iran recently create an additional reason for instability in the region and hinder the efforts of GCC states to build good-neighbour relations with Iran based on mutual respect without interfering in the internal affairs of others. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
