UAE to offer medical assistance to Lebanon

The Health Ministry has commenced arrangements necessary to secure medical requirements to Lebanon which is now facing Israeli aggressions. The ministry move is in implementation of instructions by President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to offer urgent medical assistance to Lebanon.

Health Minister Humaid Al Qattami disclosed that he reviewed in a telephone conversation with his Lebanese counterpart Dr. Mohammed Khalifa the tragic situation in Lebanon due to the continued Isreali shelling. 'Health and medical requirements were also discussed,' he said.

He assured his Lebanese counterpart of the UAE government and people's support for Lebanon and its readiness to meet all health and medical requirements. Al Qattami added that he also phoned the UAE Ambassador in Lebanon, Mohammed Sultan Al Suweidi, to secure various medical supplies and equipment urgently. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
