Acting on instructions by President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the RCS will dispatch two aid planes to Baghdad tomorrow as part of the air bridge launched by the Red Crescent Society to assist Iraqi peoples affected by the current events there.

Saleh Al Mulla, Deputy Secretary General of RCS for Foreign Affairs, said two planes carrying over 88 tonnes of relief supplies would fly tomorrow to delivery humanitarian assistance to families fleeing battles in Fallujah. 'Assistance will be distributed to the affected population in coordination with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society,' he said. The RCS, he said, had already sent a plane loaded with medical supplies and foodstuff to Iraq. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
