A relief plane will fly tomorrow to Al Arish Airport, Egypt, as part of the airbridge launched by the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) to deliver humanitarian assistance to the victims of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Salim Hamad Al Junaibi, Deputy Secretary General of RCA for Relief, said the plane would carry 35 tonnes of medical supplies and urgently needed life-saving medicines.

He also announced that a relief convoy of ten trucks with a load of 300 tonnes of essential relief assistance left here today for Gaza through Jordan as part of instructions given by the country's leaders to intensify relief operations so as to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

'Medical assistance will be airlifted through the Rafah Border Crossing while other relief items will be transported by land through Jordan,'he explained.

He termed the health situation in Gaza as worse following the discovery of more wounded people.

'Health care sector will be given top priority to boost the capacity of hospitals to handle tens of thousands injured persons,'he indicated.
