UAE to rush relief supplies to Algeria

A delegation from the UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, will tomorrow leave for Algeria to deliver relief supplies to the victims of the floods and torrential rains in Algeria. President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, ordered a quick dispatch of supplies to the affected areas. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the RCS, said the RCS team will also assess the needs of the people. The delegation will distribute blankets, medicine, tents and foodstuff to the victims of the flood and storms that affected various parts of Algeria. Earlier Sheikh Zayed, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as well as Sheikh Khalifa had sent cables of condolence to the Algerian President and Algerian people.
