The UAE has urged all parties in Yemen not to slide into violence and respect law and order.

This call was made by UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan during a meeting with his Yemeni counterpart Abu Bakr Al Qirbi in Abu Dhabi Monday.

Sheikh Abdullah was updated by the Yemeni minister on the current developments in Yemen.

He highlighted the importance of reaching an agreement between all parties, referring to efforts by GCC' countries to support Yemen's stability.

"The UAE urges all parties to respect the order and law and not to slip into violence and attacks on individuals and state institutions," Sheikh Abdullah said.

He reaffirmed the UAE's keenness to see stability and security prevail in Yemen, while stressing the right of citizens to express their opinion and practice peaceful political activity. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
