UAE vows to continue to help Yemen out of crisis

Jeddah - The 119th meeting of the GCC Ministerial council began yesterday in Jeddah with a speech by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister '&' current Chair of the Council's session.

Sheikh Abdullah said in his speech that the meeting was being held amid complex regional and international developments. He added that on the top of the meeting's agenda are topics relating to the region's development, as well as the tense situation in Yemen. "We have been making a great effort to help Yemen out of its crisis and we will diligently and tirelessly continue our efforts towards that end," he added. Sheikh Abdullah arrived earlier this evening in Jeddah and was received at the airport by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al Faisal and other Saudi and GCC officials. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
