UAE won the Best integrated Theatre Work Award in the 11th Gulf Theatre Festival concluded on Tuesday in Qatari capital Doha. UAE snatched also the awards for the Best Playwright and the Best Actor in a closely contested event that reflected the heritage and tradition of the Gulf region.
The stage play 'Saluqi' won the top award of the Best integrated theatrical work, while its writer Ismail Abdullah walked away with the Best Playwright Award. UAE's prolific theatre director and actor Hameed Faris won the Best Actor Award in the festival. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
