The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates is issuing silver coins in celebration of 50 years of archaeological excavations in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The commemorative coins are 40 mm in diameter, weigh 40 g and are made of silver, 92.5%, and copper 7.5%, according to a release by the Bank.
The minted coins will be handed to the Abu Dhabi Culture and Heritage Authority (ADACH) and will not be sold to the public via banks, it added. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
