Hajjah, Yemen - President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is keenly interested in improving the humanitarian conditions of refugees in Northern Yemen and is closely following up on the developments there, according to The UAE Red Crescent Delegation (RCA), on a current field visit to Yemen.

Directives, support and follow up by Sheikh Khalifa, H.H General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces and H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Ruler's representatives to the Western Region and Chairman of RCA, enabled the UAE's leading agency to build a camp with full services in Hajjah, Yemen, for 7000 refugees in a record time.

The RCA delegation to Yemen is led by Chairman of the Board Ahmed Humaid Al-Mazrouei and includes RCA Secretary General Ahmed Al-Qamzi and other senior officials.

The delegation inspected the health services, medical centres, electrical devices, children entertainment services as well as the makeshift kitchens and other facilities which make 3 meals for thousands of Yemeni refugees.

The camp's sanitary services include 450 toilets for men and women.

The delegation concluded the tour by a meeting with the camp's supervisors and Al-Saleh Foundation, RCA's partner in Yemen. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
