The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has distributed more than 22,750 piece of clothing to thousands of Syrian refugees at the UAE-Jordanian refugee camp in Mrejib Al Fhood area, east of Amman, Jordan.

The UAE humanitarian agency said it also distributed blankets, warm clothes and heating devices to hundreds of refugee families at the camp ahead of winter.

Outside the camp, the agency's team also handed out Eid al-Adha clothes and heating devices to more than 690 refugee families at locations including the UAE-Jordanian field hospital, in al-Mafraq city, northern Jordan, and teamed up with the Jordanian Red Crescent and other humanitarian agencies to give aid to some 300 Jordanian poor families.

Saif Ali-al-Daheri, director of the UAE-Jordanian refugee camp, said the government of the UAE has harnessed all capabilities to fulfill the daily needs of the Syrian refugees. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
