UAE's fundraiser for Syrians collects Dh45 on last day

A total of 45 million of donations were collected on the third and last day of a nation-wide fund raising campaign launched by the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) to help Syrian refugees displaced to Lebanon and Jordan by violence in their country.

The campaign - consisting of specially made TV, radio and print advertising- was launched under the theme "They Called for Help.. We Responded" RCA stressed that the campaign will continue to collect donations by individuals and corporate bodies through its offices and branches throughout the UAE to provide more aid for Syrian brothers.

The campaign came in response to humanitarian appeals is being coordinated with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRCS) and other international humanitarian agencies. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
