Abu Dhabi (WAM) A UAE major Arabic newspaper today praised the stances adopted by the UAE's leadership in extending humanitarian aid and relief assistance to peoples in need of help world-wide. Commenting editorially on the issue, the Abu Dhabi-based 'Al Ittihad' said, ' Where and whenever there is an appeal for aid, a cry for help or a moan of people in need you will see the UAE at the front lines offering relief assistance and humanitarian aid to those who had been subjected to severe circumstances or crisis. The UAE continues its extensive donation and offers relief assistance to peoples in need of help without religious segregation or racial discrimination. It extends help to peoples under severe circumstances motivated by its country's customs and the noble character of its leader President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who had never closed his eyes to a cry for help. In doing so, the UAE gives practical effect to its generous religion, which calls for tolerance, justice, equality and performance of good deeds.'

'The UAE, which is considered a convoy of common good and good deeds, has extended help to many countries around the world subjected to crisis, including Lebanon, Somalia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. Today the UAE is proceeding to the front lines through the UAE charity and humanitarian organisations, including the UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Charity and humanitarian organisation in providing emergency relief supplies for Afghan refugees, including the construction of UAE refugee camps, which can cater to a million of refugees in the borders between Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as in the borders between Iran and Afghanistan. The UAE under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed will continue spreading its common good to the needy all over the world,' the paper concluded. WAM
