A delegation from the United Nations Development Fund, UNDP, visited here Tuesday the premises of the Abu Dhabi Zakat Fund, ADZF, during which it had a first hand information about the ADZF's charity and humanitarian activities.

ADZF Secretary General, Abdullah bin Aqeedah, briefed the delegation, led by the UNDP Representative, Hamdi Freiz, about the ADZF, including its objectives, organisational and administrative structures, its four departments and their activities.

Freiz, for his part, expressed appreciation on the works and activities of the ADZF. He said since the opening of the UNDP office in the UAE in the late seventies, his outfit had been in close cooperation with the various UAE government organisations in the conduct of various activities, adding that the UNDP attaches great importance to the work of the ADZF due to the similarity in their objectives.
