Yas Marina Circuit announced yesterday schedule for the upcoming Formula 1TM Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Gates will open early to ensure race-goers get the opportunity to experience the full array of activities and entertainment on offer at the circuit, Yas Marina Circuit said in a statement. On-track there will be plenty of excitement with the penultimate race of this year's Formula 1 season, along with the 2011 GP2 Final, the Porsche Mobil 1 Super Cup, and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East.
Taking the motor racing fun off the track, spectators will have the opportunity to meet their favourite drivers at a number of autograph sessions to be held in the F1 Village. The Yas KartZone will enable children to test out their skills, and the adults can battle it out in the F1 simulators.
The two Oasis Areas will be alive with a variety of live performers, DJ's and bands on the stage, and a large selection of other activities for the whole family to enjoy throughout the day.
"We can't wait to open the gates to this year's event. I believe fans can look forward to an amazing weekend," said Mark Hughes, Director of Operations at Yas Marina Circuit. "The preparations are almost complete, all that is left to do is let the people in and get the festivities underway. We encourage everyone to get down here early to make the most of the entertainment that is on offer." Ticket-holders will also have the opportunity to attend the live concerts by Britney Spears on Friday the 11th, The Cult and Incubus on Saturday the 12th and Paul McCartney on Sunday 13th of November. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
