The Republic of Yemen has hailed efforts being exerted by the UAE, under the leadership of President H.H Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, to alleviate the suffering of the needy and victims around the world. Yemen's Ambassador also said, during a meeting here today with Khalifa Nasser Al Suweidi, Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS), that his country " values highly the role played by the RCS in improving conditions of weaker categories" of the Yemeni society.

Al Suweidi and the envoy reviewed humanitarian programmes, especially those in the field of health, carried out by the RCS for the benefit of the people in various towns of Yemen. " The RCS gives special heed to the health programmes in Yemen particularly in regard to vaccination and malaria control. We shall spare no effort to support vital plans and projects of the Yemeni Health Ministry," Al Suweidi said. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
