Zakat Fund and Sharjah Charity Foundation to distribute Dh1m

The Zakat Fund and the Sharjah Charity Foundation yesterday signed an agreement under which the Foundation will distribute Dh1 million to eligible beneficiaries provided to the Foundation by the Abu Dhabi-based Zakat Fund. The agreement was signed during a visit to the Zakat Fund by a delegation from the Sharjah Charity Foundation. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the Fund's mechanism for collecting Zakat and the existing cooperation between the Zakat Fund and the UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS) through which the RCS delivers Zakat is distributed to deserving people in and outside the UAE.
