Jenin - The Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works (ZFCHW) has accomplished the largest educational project in the West Bank at a cost of more than Dh12 million.
On the occasion, ZFCHW Acting Director General Salem Obeid Al Dhahiri said that ZFCHW Chairman of the board of trustees, H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, followed all the project phases including the building of 91 classrooms to accommodate about 32,000 students in six Palestinian provinces.
In an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Nasser Jarallah of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which supervised the implementation of the project, said that the project covered a total area of 8252 sq m in Jenin, Al-Khalil, Tulkarem, Qalqilia and Beit-Jala.
The project includes the building 17 classrooms in Jenin to accommodate with the rest of the rooms 477 students in addition to 15 classrooms in Beit Jala to accommodate 806 students and 15 rooms in Tulkarem to accommodate 498 students besides 21 rooms in Al-Khalil accommodating 745 students with 25 rooms in Qalqilia to accommodate 588 students. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
