In its annual report, the Zayed Giving Initiative revealed that UAE youth have dedicated over two million hours on voluntary work, effectively contributing to the alleviation of the suffering of millions of children and elderly people, both locally and globally, since 2002.

The report, which was issued in conjunction with International Youth Day, which is marked on August 12th, highlights the UAE's charitable initiatives and the humanitarian spirit of the nation's youth.

Dr. Adel Al Shamri, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative, said that the report reflects the involvement of UAE youth, in "Unprecedented" voluntary initiatives in various sectors, including the health, educational, cultural and social fields. – Emirates News Agency WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates-international-aid/1395298710564.html
