Zayed donates medical equipment to six Iraqi hospitals

A 44-container relief vessel sailed off yesterday from Mina Zayed heading to Iraqi port of Umm Qasr as part of the UAE humanitarian campaign to help Iraqi people. Of the 44 containers, 18 containers, carrying medical equipment, were donated by President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to fit Iraq hospitals in Baghdad, Tikrit, Karbala, Arbiel, Samra and Mosul. Sana Darwish Al Kutbi, Red Crescent Society (RCS) Secretary General said the relief ship was the third in three months. She added that a RCS team headed by Abdullah Al Dhahiri was on board the ship.
