Zayed ratifies border demarcation between UAE and Oman

President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, has issued the Federal Decree No. 15 for 2003, in relation with ratification of the demarcation of borders between the Governments of the UAE and Oman in the border sectors from Al Aqeedat East to Al Darah. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs signed the agreement in Abu Dhabi on June 22, 2002, while it was signed for Oman by Yousef bin Alawi Abdullah, Omani Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs. The agreement involves marking of main points, in which border demarcation is based. The agreement calls for the formation of a joint committee between the two countries to oversee its implementation. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
