du has become the first UAE telecom provider to bring Facebook mobile texts to its users, giving them access to the range of communication options offered by the social network.
With Facebook mobile texts, du subscribers can provide status updates, and send messages, pokes, wall posts and friend requests via SMS, as well as post pictures and videos via MMS.
Users can also get free SMS notifications from Facebook, including new message alerts and friends' status updates, according to their preferences. There are no sign-up charges for using Facebook mobile texts, which is now available only to du subscribers.
