There is no shortage of steel and no black market in the metal even though prices have soared in the UAE, says the head of a leading building materials company. Investment in the UAE's industrial sector hit a record Dh70.4 billion in 2006, an increase of more than 3 per cent compared with Dh68 billion in 2005, according to the Ministry of Finance and Industry.
