The concept design of the new Museum of Middle East Modern Art is now getting into the detailed design phase, according to Injaz.

Abu Dhabi’s Louvre to get Middle East art Posted on 20/08/2008
The head of the Louvre in Paris has promised that the museum's Abu Dhabi branch will show exhibits from across the globe and not just focus on western art. "It will not be dedicated to occidental art but will show all kinds of artistic creations,” said Henri Loyrette, president and director of the Louvre.
"It will set up a dialogue between west and east, between north and south. As such, art from the Middle East will be shown within the Louvre Abu Dhabi.”

The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation has attracted 12,000 visitors in its first week.
The Museum displays artefacts and other items of Islamic art and civilisation dating as far back as the seventh century.

DCAA to control all museums in Dubai Posted on 19/05/2008
Two exclusive museums of falcons and Islamic coins set to open in the next few weeks will be the final museum projects of the Architectural Heritage Department which will soon come under the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (DCAA).

Rebuilt Dubai Police Museum opens doors Posted on 01/03/2008
The Chief of Dubai Police inaugurated the new Police Museum at the general headquarters on Thursday, saying it is a testimony to the development of the police and a record of its achievements since the force was established in 1956.
Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim said the Police Museum is one of the first museums in the country and had been open to visitors for 15 years.
