Baluchistan Gerbil

Another gerbil that is widespread in the area, and occupies similar habitats, is the Baluchistan gerbil (Gerbillus nanus). It is much darker in colour, greyish-brown with small white spots behind the ears. The tuft at the tip of the tail is not very well developed and consists of dark hair. It too has the typical large, round, black eyes of the nocturnal desert mice.
