Advanced Technology Investment Company LLC (ATIC) of Abu Dhabi and Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing (Chartered) of Singapore today announced a definitive agreement whereby ATIC would acquire Chartered, one of the world's top dedicated semiconductor foundries, for US$1.8 billion (S$2.5 billion).

Two new ground satellite will be built out in the desert Posted on 07/10/2008
Two satellite tracking ground stations are to be built in the desert next year to service the UAE's first satellite communication systems.

Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (DuBiotech) announced on Tuesday that its Dh250 million research laboratory will be up and running in December.
Comprising about 250,000 square feet, the research lab will be able to accommodate 100 companies, depending on the company's requirements.
