Pakistan plans NZ series in UAE next month: report Posted on 15/09/2009
The Pakistan cricket team is planning to return to the UAE for four one day international matches and two Twenty20s against New Zealand next month, according to a cricketing website.
Cricket website CricInfo reported that Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ijaz Butt has finalised a neutral venue for a limited overs leg of the series, to be followed by Tests in New Zealand in November.
According to the site, New Zealand Cricket has yet to approve the plans.

It was a great victory for Pakistan last night over the cricket world champions Australia in a tense game at Dubai Sports City. But for the city and the nation, the historic first match marked an even greater milestone.
The game heralded the emergence of Dubai as an international cricket venue and could lay the foundations for major tournaments to be hosted in the UAE in the near future.

Australia and Pakistan to clash in UAE Posted on 01/03/2009
The UAE has won the battle to host the cricket series between Pakistan and Australia in April.
The series, postponed last year because of Australian fears of playing in Pakistan, will be divided between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The capital will host three one-day matches and the new Dubai Sports City will stage two one-day matches and a Twenty20 contest.
The UAE is believed to have beaten competition from England, Ireland and Malaysia for the right to stage the series.

The Sharjah Stadium will host its first Test series, the first ever in the Arab world.
