Over five thousand pupils, their teachers and parents joined together in a triangular effort to create a magnificent science and arts exhibition in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Themed on science and art, the Scienceart , setup in more than 100 class rooms and corridors of the Model School in Abu Dhabi showcased a wide variety of exhibits covering science, culture, arts, literature, linguistics, history and commerce.

 Art exhibition captures cultural heritage

Fatima Al Yousuf wanted something with which to remember her family home.
"This building that I grew up in was being torn down to make place for a new one, and although I wanted to preserve it for posterity, I had no idea how to capture its beauty and the depth of memories it held for me," the 24-year-old Emirati creative lab associate told Gulf News.

 Mohammed bin Rashid signs "40 Poems from the Desert"

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum signed the new poetry diwan "40 Poems from the Desert," which features a collection of his old and new poems, at a special launch ceremony held at the Ara Gallery in Downtown Dubai - Burj Khalifa.
The Diwan, released in 10,000 fine print copies, was prepared by the Government of Dubai Media Office in celebration of the 40th National Day of the United Arab Emirates.

 UAE pavilion hosts culture and collectables fair

 Images that defined rise of a nation

Falcons, wind towers, palm trees and dhows are all familiar symbols that represent the UAE, seen on stamps and banknotes to the crests of government bodies.
So prevalent are they today that, as the country prepares to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its birth, we perhaps take them for granted.
But how, in 1971, did a new nation come to be represented by these images? That is what a research project by the Sharjah Art Foundation hopes to find out.

The second Emirati Expressions, a photography exhibition, opened to the public on Tuesday at Manarat Al Saadiyat Island.
The exhibition is held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and is being organised by the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC).

Sharjah Museums Department (SMD) announced the opening of the 2nd edition of the Lasting Impressions exhibition. The announcement was made during a press conference, which was held at the Sharjah Art Museum yesterday. The exhibition, which is supported this year by HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, will host the Emirati artist Najat Meky, one of the UAE's pioneering national artists.

 UAE exhibit 'Islamic Science Rediscovered' returns to US

‘Islamic Science Rediscovered', also known as ‘Sultans of Science' — the global travelling exhibition created by Dubai- and Cape Town-based MTE Studios — is to return revamped to the US by popular demand.
Originally started at the Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai, the exhibition has gone global in the last few years.

The city's fast-growing arts scene will be showcased at a massive celebration of contemporary Arab culture that is being held in London this month.
