Etihad, Airbus negotiating A380 delivery date Posted on 12/03/2010
Etihad Airways, the state carrier of Abu Dhabi, is in talks about delaying receipt of Airbus A380 superjumbos while bringing other deliveries forward as it seeks to post a profit by the end of next year.
Etihad will add three new Airbus A330 jetliners this year, CEO James Hogan said yesterday in an interview. Delivery of 10 A380s has been pushed back to 2013 from late in 2012 and the carrier will continue to review the handover schedule as it awaits a production update from Airbus.

Emirates to start Senegal flights Posted on 09/03/2010
Emirates will begin operations to Dakar, the capital city of Senegal, starting from September 1 this year, the carrier said yesterday in a statement.
The route would be the airline's 106th international destination from Dubai. Emirates will operate non-stop flights to Dakar five times a week, using Airbus A340-300 aircraft on the route. Etihad Airways' focus on the Japanese market continues this week, as a codeshare with ANA comes into service.
The Etihad Airways and ANA codeshare offers customers from all over the world the opportunity to fly to five major Japanese destinations, Tokyo, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka and Osaka.

flydubai, Dubai's first low cost airline, has announced a brace of GCC routes to kick off what is set to be a very busy year of route announcements for the carrier.
Kuwait City and Muscat will bring flydubai's network to thirteen routes and with a double daily service operating to both cities the flights are sure to be popular with both business and leisure travellers. The flights to Muscat will begin on Sunday, March 28th, and Kuwait on Tuesday, March 30th.
