Empost now available in main post offices across UAE Posted on 30/08/2010
The services of Empost, the national courier company, are now available at main post offices across the UAE, Emirates Post Group (EPG) announced yesterday.
The selected main post offices offer the full range of Empost services through postal counters, including domestic and international courier services. To start with, Empost services are available at 11 post offices in the UAE, starting from August 29, 2010.

Emirates Post has launched a two-month campaign to highlight the advantages of having one's own private P.O. Boxes, instead of using company mail boxes for receiving their personal mail.

Emirates Post opens new post office in Naif area, Dubai Posted on 26/08/2009
Emirates Post yesterday opened a new post office in Naif, behind Al Maktoum Hospital, Dubai, to cater to the locality's growing demand for postal and non-postal services. The new post office was inaugurated by Mr. Salem Al Shaya, Assistant CEO, Emirates Post, accompanied by Ali Abdul Rahman, Deputy Director of 2nd Postal Zone and senior officials from Emirates Post.

The UAE's postal service will have been in operation for 100 years on August 19 and the Emirates Philatelic Association and Emirates Post are celebrating with an exhibition of some of the rarest and oldest stamps collected by their members.

Eight Arab postal corporations, led by Emirates Post, have signed an agreement to implement a regional, low-cost post-to-post money transfer system, which is backed by Universal Postal Union (UPU) IFS application and international financial network.
