UAE agrees "Open Skies" with Yemen Posted on 28/02/2010
The United Arab Emirates, represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Yemen, represented by the Yemeni Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), signed last week in Sana'a a Memorandum of Understanding for open air services.
This MOU was signed by Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the GCAA and Hamed Ahmed Faraj, CAA Chairman, in presence of representatives from the local civil aviation departments and the UAE national airlines.

The UAE and Greece signed in Abu Dhabi yesterday two agreements on avoidance of double taxation on income and air transport in the presence of H.E. Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The UAE is planning to sign open sky agreements with at least 10 countries in 2010, a top official of General Civil Aviation Authority, or GCCA, said on Thursday.
"We are scheduled to have bilateral meetings with 25 countries to explore the possibilities of signing open sky agreements in 2010 , and we hope we will be able to conclude such agreements with at least 10 countries,' Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of GCCA told Khaleej Times.
