The United Arab Emirates represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has signed an Air Services Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sri Lanka in Colombo, to increase flights between the two countries.

UAE joins IATA's bilateral air services agreement Posted on 18/11/2009
The UAE has joined a group of seven countries in further liberalising its air space by signing Bilateral Air Service Agreements under the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Multilateral Statement of Policy Principles.
The signing countries include Chile, Malaysia, Panama, Singapore, Switzerland, the UAE, the US and the European Commission, representing about 60 per cent of global aviation.

The UAE represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has signed an Air Services Agreement (ASA) and Memorandum of Understanding with Bulgaria.
The agreement was signed by Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi, Director General of the GCAA.
The agreement allows unrestricted capacity and types of aircraft, whether owned or leased, to be operated by the designated airlines of each country in any type of service (passenger or cargo) on the routes between Bulgaria and the UAE.

Etihad Airways has said it will provide Kuwait-based air travellers with greater access to its expanding global network, following the signing of a new code share agreement with Kuwait Airways on flights between Kuwait and Abu Dhabi, said the UAE national carrier in a press release.

The UAE and Tunisia have signed an air services agreement to increase passenger flights between the two countries. Etihad gets flying rights to Japan Posted on 22/12/2008
The country's flag carrier shall start its direct flights to Japan from March 2010.
This is based on a flying rights agreement secured between the UAE and Japan last week, according to a source from the Etihad Airways Corporate Communications Department.

Damascus - The United Arab Emirates and Syria yesterday initialled Air Services Agreement (ASA) in Damascus.
