 Initial phase of TV audience measurement initiative shows positive trends

The initial results of the recently launched TV audience measurement initiative has proved positive trends in the in the study of application of the project for the measurement of TV audience in the United Arab Emirates.
The National Media Council (NMC) and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) were jointly apprised of the findings by the consulting firm appointed to implement the project.

 DMI offers US$1m for best drama programme

The best drama programme broadcast on the channels of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) during the Ramadan period of 2009 will win US$1 million (Dh3.67m). The move is as per the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Abu Dhabi Media Company and Gazillion Entertainment, a major US developer and publisher of massively multiplayer online games (MMOG), yesterday signed an agreement to create the region's first MMOG studio, a purpose-built, world-class facility in Abu Dhabi.
