Buying and selling camels reached Dh350 million during the third Al Dhafra Festival which was organised at Zayed City in the Western Region by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH).
"I didn't expect the participation to be of such a large scale and momentum,' said Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.

Al Dhafrah Festival that concluded yesterday proved to be a hit for the third year in a row with more visitors coming to learn about the UAE's culture and heritage.
The eight-day festival that began on January 30 in Al Gharbia (formerly the Western Region) is organised by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) under the patronage of General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Camel sales have reached more than Dh60 million in the first two days of the ongoing Al Dhafra Festival in Zayed City in the Western Region, an official said.
The ten days festival organized by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) includes multi activities that reflects UAE's heritage. The core activity of the Festival is a camel beauty contest known locally as "Camel Mazayen".

Large number of visitors flocked to the Traditional Market held alongside Al Dhafra Festival in Zayed City in Al Gharbia (the Western Region of Abu Dhabi) in the festivals first days.

The Al Dhafrah Festival got off to an exciting start with 30 camels bettering 940 others to win top prizes for their owners.
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's representative of the Western Region, inaugurated the first day of the Al Dhafrah Festival.

The Third edition of the Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Heritage Festival kicked off yesterday in Madinat Zayed in the Western Region.

New York - The election of the UAE to a UN body charged with preserving valuable cultural and natural wonders could help Al Ain's renewed bid to be named a world heritage site.

An exhibition to showcase UAE heritage to the world has been held here in the Lebanese capital. Lebanese Tourism Minister, Elli Maroni and UAE Ambassador, Rahma Hussein Al-Za'abi, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition organised at the Al-Habtoor Grand Hotel by "Asraar", a UAE-based exhibition organising company.
