The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) is working to develop and renovate a number of museums and historic sites in the emirate.
Among them are the Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum, which is getting a much-needed âface-lift', and the new Muwaiji Palace and Sheikh Zayed the 1st museums now being developed in Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain.

Museum Fellowships set up for Emiratis Posted on 31/12/2009
In order to help prepare Emiratis get into the profession as museum curators, educators and managers, the Emirates Foundation - one of the UAE's leading philanthropic institutions - has created the country's first-ever âMuseum Fellowships'.
The fellowships, which will be offered to Emirati students who prove their abilities during a five-month Foundation Course and Workshops for Museum Professionals, was a follow-up on the âMuseum Studies Scholarships' announced last October.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi yesterday said it has begun a qualitative survey of potential audiences. The survey is being conducted in late July 2009 among visitors to the preview experience Talking Art: Louvre Abu Dhabi, which is currently being offered in Gallery One of Emirates Palace.

An exhibition showing a taste of the artworks that will be displayed in Abu Dhabi's Louvre museum has been extended for a month after being fully booked since its opening.
Talking Art: Louvre Abu Dhabi at the Emirates Palace hotel will continue until August 29, the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) said yesterday. Tours that take groups of about 30 around the exhibition twice a day have been "consistently bookedâ, it said.

A team of experts from the famed Musée du Louvre in Paris are working on policies that will govern the management of Abu Dhabi's own Louvre museum that is expected to open in 2013.
