Dubai Marina Yacht Club to host Dragon Boat Festival

Dubai Marina Yacht Club, the newly opened leisure destination for marine enthusiasts, will host a Dragon Boat Festival at the Dubai Marina Canal on February 13, 2009. The hugely popular Dragon Boat Festival will be the first key event for the club since its launch, and is set to become an annual feature. After a gruelling six-day journey across Abu Dhabi emirate, a tired but elated Richard Ussher led a team to the narrowest of victories in the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge for the second consecutive year. Competitors in the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge already knew they would have to cope with the rigours of the desert and its harsh terrain. Doha The 15th Asian Games end tonight with the closing ceremony at the Khalifa Stadium in Doha. All eyes were turned skywards yesterday as a 121-strong troupe of skydivers dropped in on Umm Al Qaiwain - smashing a trio of records in the process.
