Carbon emissions in UAE set to fall by 2021

Air quality in the UAE is set to become healthier by 2021 as authorities are carrying out a number of initiatives to reduce its ranking from being one of the highest emitters of carbon dioxide per capita. The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, or Dewa, recorded a 3.3 per cent rise in power demand in 2013 as its customer base climbed 4.4 per cent to 652,200.
