Injured whale shark rescued in Dubai

An injured and bewildered whale shark strayed into Dubai Creek and was rescued by Dubai Police. The shark, the largest species of fish, was discovered by workmen who later roped so as to prevent it from further injuries in the crowded creek area. It was spotted floating near the sea wall at the Old Souq area on Saturday afternoon. Shops selling tobacco to minors face closure

Any shop, supermarket, grocery or commercial outlet caught selling any form of tobacco to anyone under the age of eighteen will be permanently shut down and fined by the government with no prior warning. The decision banning any outlet from selling cigarettes and tobacco to minors was issued yesterday by Abu Dhabi Municipality. There was a massive traffic jam on Sheikh Zayed Road yesterday from the First Interchange (Defence Roundabout) to the Trade Centre as one lane was blocked due to municipal expansion work.
