Residents and visitors can now receive entry permits and visas by e-mail and SMS through a new service introduced this week by the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD). In a move to simplify the visa procedures, the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) will introduce ‘M-visas' (mobile visas) wherein the applicant will get his visa in the form of a picture SMS. The Naturalisation and Residency Department in the UAE issued a total of 412,000 entry permits during the last month. A visitor to the UAE will only be allowed to make two visa runs at a stretch after which he/she must leave the country, Ministry of Interior officials said.
