GITEX Computer Shopper 2004 has recorded a 60 per cent increase in the number of visitors in the first two days, according to a senior official, who said the number of paid visitors has gone up to a record 13,000. UAE leads Gulf countries in per capital IT spending

At just over US$350 the UAE easily recorded the highest per capital spending in IT among the six Gulf states during 2002, while Bahrain followed with US$200 plus.
