Khalifa receives letter from President of Cyprus

President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a letter from President Tassos Papadopoulos of Cyprus. The letter deals with bilateral relations and ways to boost them in various areas. It also deals with developments in the Middle East. The letter was presented to Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan when he received yesterday Cypriot Foreign Minister, Yiorgos Lillikas, who is currently on a visit to the UAE.
Sheikh Abdullah, who warmly welcomed the Cypriot Foreign Minister, wished the bilateral relations between the two countries more growth. He re-affirmed the deep relations of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Cyprus and the UAE's commitment to further boost those ties, particularly in the areas of economy, trade and investment.
The Cypriot foreign minister praised the strong ties between the UAE and his country. He also praised the UAE for achieving great development. He expressed his country's deep interest in finding more avenues of cooperation and joint investment with the UAE.
He expressed the hope that his visit to the UAE and meeting with top UAE officials would contribute immensely in pushing the level of the existing relations of friendship to a greater height. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
