Palestinian factions urged to prioritize national interests: UAE FM

The UAE foreign mistier Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan expressed Thursday hopes that the current good offices on the Palestinian issue would eventually benefit all Palestinian parties and factions and enable them to achieve stability and enable the Palestinian people to establish its independent state.
Sheikh Abdullah called on all Palestinian factions to prioritize Palestinian national unity and interests over all other all other considerations.
Sheikh Abdullah made his remarks at a meeting yesterday in Abu Dhabi with Palestinian Finance Minister Salam Fayyad who is on a current visit to the UAE accompanied by Majdi Al-Khalidi, Advisor to the Palestinian President and Khairi Al-Aridi, Palestinian ambassador to UAE.
The Palestinian Minister briefed UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bn Zayed Al-Nahyan on the latest developments in the Palestinian Occupied Territories (oPT) and international and Arab efforts to restore stability and unity to the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian senior official who is on a current UAE visit praised the UAE support to the Palestinian people and their struggle to establish their independent sovereign state with Holy Jerusalem as its capital. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
