He affirmed that the two countries were firm to boost joint action for the sake of maintaining peace and security in the region.

Musharraf made his remarks during an audience yesterday at Rawalpindi city with visiting UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who conveyed to him the best wishes of UAE President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and those of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai for progress and prosperity to Pakistan.

On his part, the Pakistani leader asked Sheikh Abdullah to relay his good wishes for health to President Khalifa and more progress and welfare for the UAE people.
