UAE's permanent envoys to UN take oath before President

The UAE's permanent ambassador-designate to the UN in New York, Ahmad Abdul Rahman Al Jerman, took the oath of office before President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the lounge of honour of the Emiri airport before his departure to Syria yesterday. Obaid Salim Al Za'abi, UAE permanent ambassador to UN headquarters in Europe, sought the President's permission to leave for Geneva to assume his duty. Shaikh Khalifa wished the two envoys all success in their assignment of enhancing UAE's relations with the UN. The two envoys pledged to work seriously and hard in order to strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship between the UAE and UN for the interest of the UAE. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
