UAE is keen to boost GCC cooperation: Khalifa
Posted on05/12/2007 08:48:26

President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has underscored that the UAE is keen to do whatever it could to sustain GCC through consultations and unification of attitudes. At his arrival in Doha today to attend the Doha summit, Sheikh Khalifa said in a statement that the "summit is being convened at a time of serious regional and international developments. This situation requires reaching unanimous vision and joint efforts to boost our security and stability". He added that the summit will discuss political, economic, military issues and others. Sheikh Khalifa reiterated that "We have to coordinate so as to avoid repercussions of these negative developments on our stability and security", indicating that the UAE is keen to unify attitudes through consultations and coordination among the GGC countries".
