Duty-free shopping is synonymous with visiting the UAE. All of the airports have duty-free shops: two of the largest, at Abu Dhabi, Dubai are particularly famous. Gold and jewellery are still the most popular consumer items, but you can purchase a huge array of goods in these duty-free shops, including cigarettes, alcohol, leather goods, electronic and photographic equipment, tapes, toys, perfumes and cosmetics, luxury gifts, fashions and sporting equipment. Prices are extremely competitive and duty-free promotions, in which you can win significant cash prizes and luxury cars, are legendary.

Dubai Duty Free
Dubai Duty Free is currently the single largest airport retailer in the world, with retail outlets in all terminals, including the enormous T3. Perfume, liquor and gold remain the most sought-after items. Other popular goods are watches, cosmetics and cameras.

Abu Dhabi Duty Free
ADDF, which has won numerous awards since opening in 1986, runs a 24-hour retail operation in all three terminals. The list of items stocked includes gold, pearls and precious stones, cosmetics, perfumes, souvenirs, books, cameras, mobile phones, electronic items, music, tobacco goods, high fashion, food and drink.

Sharjah International Airport
The duty-free shop at Sharah Airport offers travellers a comprehensive duty-free shopping experience with all goods, including alcohol, available at very competitive prices.

Ra's al-Khaimah International Airport
Ra’s al-Khaimah Airport Duty Free is also a good place to shop on entry to or exit from this popular tourist destination.

Fujairah International Airport
The duty-free shop at Fujairah International Airport stocks a wide range of products, including alcohol, perfumes and gift items, at very favourable prices.
